I just had a glimpse of my past blogs in a Filipino website where I used to wrote before as a writer...Just want to share with you some of my "thoughts" that I wrote there...........enjoy reading!

2008 was a great year to remember and to live over and over again. Like 2007, great decisions were made on this year, a lot of new things happened, a lot had been accomplished. Each month has fond memories to recall but of course I have my own favorites! But I can share to you the flavors of each month!

January 2008 – It's my first new year away from my family as I was still in Singapore during this time. New Year in Singapore is not as big as what we have here in Philippines. Fireworks can only be seen in Esplanade and for those who wants to experience the fun you need to travel down the city, go to Marina and join the big crowd and witness together the wonderful lights in the air. Well, as for me, guess where did I celebrate New Year then? I was at the restaurant ( Pizza Hut Jurong Point ) my workplace, counting stocks! It was a big day for me there! Counting stocks for the year end inventory! Hahaha! It wasn't a big day of celebration for me as I was alone. At 12 midnight, I remember reminiscing how New Year spent in the Philippines. Aside from the “NO CHICKEN ON THE TABLE” policy, I miss the local fireworks we used to have. “Watusi, Lusis, Trumpillo, Fountain, Kwitis” I missed the jumping at 12midnight for you to become taller ( those who didn't do this before misses the fun of New Year! ) , there was no “TOROTOT” hahaha, I wasn't able to hear car owners blowing their horns when the clock strike 12! I bet, if this is being done in Singapore it's very exciting and nice to hear, you know why? Because everyone in Singapore has the same time in their watch! If it's 12 midnight in a Singaporean's watch it will definitely be 12 in my watch too, simply because everything there comes on time! MRT, LRT, bus. They never change their timing schedule! So if you will be late by one minute in the bus stop you will surely miss the bus and wait for the next one to come. But even though these things are not done synchronal in the Philippines, iba pa din sa PINAS! Kahit na 1155 palang sa Relo ko at 12 na say o ok lang! Basta New Year na!

February 2008 – A dying Valentines day in Pizza Hut! Dying because it was a very busy day in the restaurant! Singaporeans loves to celeberate V-day! And because we have a heart shaped pizza in Singapore, everybody orders for it! I was doing morning shift then but I stayed until very late because of the influx of people in the restaurant! What a terrific day for sales but a tiring day for us. I remember at 8pm we already stopped selling heart shaped pizzas because we ran out of heart shaped dough! At first we ran out of strawberries ( pizza ingredient ) then the dough! WheW!

February 9 is my first year in Singapore too!

March 2008 – March is a “so-so” month for me there in the Singapore. This month I became quite busy because I will be on a vacation the following month. I just wait for each day to pass waiting for April to come!

April 2008 – My much awaited vacation finally came. It's Jamil's 2nd birthday that is why I decided to go for a break. This is the first time that I will be celebrating my son's birthday because I was not around during his 1st.

This is the same month I had my hair repaired! HAHAHAHA! Hair rebond in Singapore!

Same month I lost $350 HUHUHU before my vacation! I lost it in the restaurant I think! God bless the culprit! It was already returned to me a hundred fold!

May 2008 – This is the month that I made a great decision! I finally decided to go home for good and be with my kids and my husband. It was the same month that I asked the permission of my boss POY about my decision of leaving. It was a very hard thing to do as I am thorned in two things that I love to do, to be with my family and to stay at my work! But as we always say, we cannot have the same face of a coin. We need to choose one! And I chose to be back home!

June 2008 - It's my birthday month. It was the same month that we had the beach day at East Coast with my Pizza Hut Colleagues. After the beach day, we celebrated my birthday there and received my biggest surprise! It was a water bomb party for me! I never had such birthday celebration before! All of us were damn wet! Whew! We stayed in the place overnight and went for a birthday breakfast at McDonalds in Tampines with my staff! Reached home at 10am and slept the whole day because Leila and Jessica are both working! Sleeping on my birthday! HAHAHA

9pm Leila asked me to go out with her and we both went at Orchard. She treated me for a birthday dinner at our favorite hang out, SWENSENS! Jessica wasn't able to join us because she was working like shit then in the restaurant!

July 2008 – July 3 was my last working day in Pizza Hut. I remember the heavy feeling when I started to turn off the lights when I was about to go home! Good bye Pizza Hut! It's not only goodbye Pizza Hut, but it was goodbye Singapore too! This is the same month that I flew back to Philippines for good! Home at last!

July 15 Cebu Pacific flight 5J802 from Singapore bound to Manila 1055am – I am going home for good! A lot of tears were shed during this day. Some of colleagues sent me to the airport, bidding our farewells. It was a mixed emotion for me then. I am happy because I am going home and be with my family in a few hours and sad because I am leaving a family too in Singapore! But life must go on for both all of us!

Oh I went to Kuala Lumpur too with Jess and Leila!

July 29 – New life, New career! I was hired by a Language Academy as an English teacher to Korean internationals! It was a humbling experience for me then as I am to start a new career as a teacher and at the same time worked in a different environment. It was a decade working in a restaurant and now I am in an Academy! Wow!

August and September – I am continuously enjoying my life as a teacher, a mother and a wife. I am having a simple life with my family, going out on weekends and holidays! Yes it was simple but those are the days that I've always dreamt of when I was still away from them.

Students are growing in number. I am starting to build good relationship with my students and had been investing in my emotional bank account with them! Each day is a fun working day!

October – A better opportunity paved way in my career. Another company opened its doors to me and again another big decision was done. I joined Executive Optical as a branch manager. Another different kind of business, different career. But I dared the challenge! It was quite difficult at first because it's all about learning and relearning! Well just to give u an anecdote, Do you know why I took up Accountancy in college? It's not because I like it, nor I love math. It's not merely because of numbers, it's not about better future ahead of me, it's not about fame if I pass the licensure exam, but it's because it has LESSER SCIENCE! Hahaha! I hate SCIENCE! But now that I am in Executive Optical I need to love it! Because it's Science! It's about the eyes! Challenging? Oh YES!

November – Oh! It's Family Day for Rain! Its our second year of Family day with Jamil. November 2007 I was also back for vacation because of Rain's Family day in School. It was fun as we expect it to be! Jamil enjoyed the carousel ride and Rain enjoyed a lot as well! Great day for the whole family!

December 2008 – It's another Christmas with the family! And it really feels good! Wonderful feeling! But I got my knee broke! I was hospitalized on the night of Dec 20 because I had a great fall when Rain jumped on me during the community Christmas party! But a broken knee cannot stop me from celebrating! December is always festive in our family because aside from Christmas, 2 special persons are celebrating their birthdays! Rain and my mom!

2008 will always be one of the greatest year of my life! I would be glad to live it again if given the chance. I will live it the way I lived it before! I will not change a single thing! Blessings were overflowing! Blessings that are not bound to perish! Blessings that will live forever! Friends, families, new acquaintances, being of service to others! And because these new things are happening in my life now, whenever I get up each morning, I would look in the mirror and say,

“ I am valuable, I am loved. God has a great plan for my life. I have favor wherever I go. God's blessings are chasing me down and overtaking me. Everything I touch prospers and succeeds. I'm excited about my future!”

But of course it cannot be called life if it is as beautiful as it can be. Of course there had been mountains of trials! But I can say that with my experiences before and the great change that I had in understanding the word “maturity” helped me to live life! I learned to speak to my mountains! Maybe your mountain is a sickness, perhaps your mountain is a troubled relationship, maybe your mountain is a floundering business. Whatever your mountain is, you must do more than think about it, more than pray about it; you must speak to that obstacle. Start calling yourself healed, happy, whole, blessed and prosperous. Stop talking to God about how big your mountains are, and start talking to your mountains about how big your God is!

A lot of people caused me hurt, but I leave it to God. I told myself, “Reggie, live a life of forgiveness! Don't go around trying to pay people back, trying to get revenge.” I know that God sees every wrong that's being done to me. God sees every person that has ever hurt you! He's keeping the record, and if we don't avenge ourselves, God will pay us back! And friend, He'll not just pay us back, He'll pay us back in abundance!

LET'S ALL HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

wRiTinG HaBiT

It's been months and months and months since i last wrote something to blog...actually to tell you honestly this is the first time I opened it again after a couple of months.....It had been a terribly busy life for me I guess... a lot of things happen that the only relaxation that I find doing the past few days was facebooking...hahahaha!

Though it had been long working days for me, there were a lot of fond thoughts...unfortunately I wasn't able to blog it down...lazy to type...but crazy to share...It's easier to talk than to type...especially for me...lolz!

I just thought of reviving this site...after all, in time it's always good to read it over and over again... In fact, now, as I read my previous blogs, it gave me a good feeling to imagine how did the year ran for me... I regret why I didn't write that much! sob! sob! sob!

Well a lot of things happened to me obviously... good and bad...happy and sad...but for all which, I had been very thankful! There were no "if only's," no "but's," no "what if's" everything I am glad that I get to experience...

I will try to find time to blog everything in the next couple of weeks...I promise to keep this blog updated from today onwards and make writing a habit again....

happy blogging everyone!

Peace for stress!

It's been eleven days straight of work for me and finally, today is my ofF day. So tiring. Tomorrow will be another day of working with patients. I was kinda stressed for the past week as I am in the middle of battling with the set of targets given to me by my bosses at work. Until it all ended on July 31 because finally the month is over...target met for me! whew! Thank God!

Tomorrow will surely be another busy day for me. Monday blues of course will always be there. Traffic, train jam, people rushing and bumping! haiz!!!

But on top of all these I've learned not to focus much on the negative that surrounds us... rather take it all pro actively...so no matter how stressful it will be...this is what i have to say....

GIVE PEACE A CHANCE...

SOMETIMES IT'S JUST ALL ABOUT SMILING!

SMILE THAT STRESS AWAY!

It's been almost a month since I last blog. Now it's time to remove the cobwebs! hahaha! It had been a very busy month for me. So many things to do at work. Now I am thinking of having a break! Hoping it's gonna be soon! The last week of the month was quite okay for me, I was able to lean my back for a while, well the pictures shows. It's not so busy in the optical shop and so it's time for me to do the things that i miss doing?!?! It's picture time! This is a picture taken with a good friend, Janet. Janet is a doctor of Optometry. She's one of the closest friend that I have right now at work.
I am of course enjoying my work as seen in the pictures! haahaha! When there's no patients, we pose and we smile! Well I got nothing to share now coz I just worked, worked and worked! Worked like a horse! hahaha! Just posted some pics for you to see how I look now?!?! A lot of people say I look different now?!?!? Is it true? What do u think?!?!?

PizZa, PaStA aNd CoFfEe!

March 14 was the day I saw my very good friend LEILA. As you all know Leila and I became very close at Singapore where we both worked as a manager for Pizza Hut. Leila and I have known each other for years now, way back in our Jollibee days here in the Philippines, but truly what made us closer was when decided to work in Singapore. A decision that we never did together but it was only fate that worked for both of us! Leila had her vacation here in the Philippines after her visit last year. It has been a year since she last visited the country to see her family. And of course I will not let her vacation pass without us meeting each other. I am so glad that inspite of her busy schedule for this vacation she spent her most precious time with me on the 14th of March. This photo was taken while we are having our dinner at SBARRO restaurant. An Italian Restaurant here in the Philippines that serves one of the best pizza and pasta! The stories we shared each other made our dinner more appetizing! I do miss talking to her! I remember that we would always have our chit chat when we are eating in Singapore. Most of our life stories are being shared whenever we are eating in our dining table or whenever we munch our favorite McDonald midnight snack!
Leila with double cheeseburger meal and for myself ,
of course McWing both with fries and coke light!

After that sumptuous dinner at Sbarro we had coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Trinoma mall! And of course much of our life stories were shared there. 7 months of not seeing each other made the conversation fun, worth listening, reminiscing, and of course we also talked about our future!
This is one of best conversation that I had so far for this year.
It may not be that very long but it's all worthwhile! I miss this girl so much! and words are not enough to describe how i felt after seeing her! Truly the conversation that we had will stay in my heart! Laughing that night was truly fun way to do! Laugh like you really don't care what other people will say. Taking photos even though people will look at you and might say something that is not nice about you! ( just look at the lady behind us! hahaha) In the Philippines, people sometimes make a big fuzz when people are taking pictures with
peace sign some more!
hahaha!

And of course when taking pictures, it's always the Singaporean way! The famous peace sign! hahaha! I miss doing this with Lei! And since we were given a chance to have a photo together, of course the peace sign will always be there!

I am sure that as I am about to finish this blog, this dear friend of mine is preparing to come back to Singapore. I will miss you Lei! Thank you for taking time to see me! Thank you for the dinner and coffee, thank you for sharing your stories,
THANKS FOR THE FRIENDSHIP!
'Til we meet again!

SeEN - ThE bLoCk!

It had been a very busy week for me. A lot of things happened so fast.
On my last blog I shared to everyone that I am posted at our Mall of Asia branch. Last Monday, my trainer talked to me and informed me that I will be transferred the next day, whew! so fast!
And now I am posted here! The Block mall. It's in my convenience actually because it is only 15 minutes away from my house! I never experienced working in a place that is very near! Not in my 10 years of working! hahaha!

Below is a picture of my branch! Small but very nice! Very classy compared to other optical shop! Hopefully I will be staying here for good! I know I can work effectively and efficiently here as it is very convenient for me especially now that I am not yet fully recovered from my knee surgery! I am keeping my fingers crossed, hoping that I will be able to run this branch according to my superiors expectation!

I was looking at my facebook account when i saw this picture from Aqmar's photo! I was so happy to see an old photo with good friends! This photo was taken from a charity walk that we had on October 2007! It was at Bedok Reservoir Park! If I remeber it correctly, we had a 5km walk here! Whew! Very tiring but fun!
Oh my! This is really an old photo! See my hair still tied, not yet rebonded! hahaha!

PuNcHLiNe!

Last Friday, Feb 6 was not really a good day for me. I was having knee pains, slight fever, in short I am not really at my best. And knowing myself well, things will just smash in one corner if I am like this. Much as I continue smiling, the real feeling will just come out. And for people who knows me that well, they can easily tell if I am ok or not. And so I thought of sending message to Joey if we can go out after work, anyway it's a Friday, Thank God it's Friday! hahaha! But I was thinking Joey might be very busy at work so I put aside the idea first. Then suddenly I received a message from him asking me if I want to go out! Hahahaha! What a coincidence! We were thinking the same thing at the same time! So to cut the long story short, we went at PUNCHLINE! It's one of the funniest place that you can visit. A place where you can just laugh like no others business! hahaha!
We really had so much fun, watching the comediannes perform. We enjoyed listening to their songs as well. I miss going out with Joey. It's been quite sometime since we last went out because i was injured and he was busy at work. And of course not to forget that we have 2 kids waiting for us to be home on time always.

It was indeed a fun night with my friend, my boyfriend, my husband, JOEY! A pre-valentine date! I hope we can do it more often dad! It was indeed a great night to remember! Aside from the entertainment, they also have good food! Our favorite Nachos (Yellow Corn) with salsa and chilis, sizzling sisig ( ooops! it's pork! pardon me my Malay friends! but it's an all time favorite Filipino food! ) and a couple of beer! Wonderful night!

Truly it was a relief for me and a release of life's pressure and stress! I believe I am in so much stress this past few days, really I am. Look at the pictures, I have a pimple (between my lips and nose! nice spot ah!) How can a 31 year old woman have pimple, when pimples should be for young teens only! hahaha! A strong indication that I am stressed! hahaha! Well at least we were both able to find time going out again! "Joey, Dad, Babes, whatever terms of endearment that we use, thanks for the wonderful night! It made me realize how much I miss you!

eXecUtiVe OpTicAL

It's early blogging for me today! No work! Its my off day! Whew! my 2 days working were quite tiring. I suddenly felt that I need to study again the basics! Hahaha! I fel some adjustments in the first hour of my working day, but after that is back to normal! I miss talking to patients and answering their queries like I am one the doctors that we have in the branch! Most of the patients will also call me doctor! Wow! Instant doctor! hahaha! I will be posted in Mall of Asia for the whole month! I will try to fight with shopping temptations hoping that I will survive! hahaha. Oooops by the way, the pictures shows the optical shop that I am currently working. The first 2 pictures are the side entrances, and the bottom most is a part of the main entrance.
It's one of the biggest branch that the company has and in terms of traffic count, we serve a mix of Class A and B market. So my English skills are being practiced all the time! hahaha Sometimes, Sing-lish too!

This is a fun place to work with as the staffs here are so friendly! Tomorrow is another to work again. So I am taking the chance to rest the whole day today! I'll write more in my next blog in a little later!

iT's BeE-dAY toDaY!

It's my last weekend with my family because tomorrow is my first day to work. Reggie is back! Tomorrow I will be posted at the biggest mall in the continent, MALL OF ASIA. It's day 1 again for me to start all over! It's saving time again! After all the expenses that I had during my very long vacation! Whew! I really need to double the effort! It was the longest vacation that I had since I started working 11 years ago! Oh my God! Eleven years! Am I that really old?!?!?! There'll be a lot of things that I will miss once I start working again! I will miss the two kids of course, because for the 43 days of staying at home, I spent most of the time with them. I will miss Shine asking for milk almost every hour a day, I will miss him asking me to play his favorite dvd Barney, Backyardigans, Dora, Cars, and now Bolt! I will miss taking a bath with him! This is my favorite bonding time with my kids! Bathing together! I will miss Rain saying "Hello! I am home! What do we have for lunch Mommy?" everytime she come's back from school! I will miss sleeping with them in the afternoon, and then we will wake up together and buy our favorite afternoon snack, squid balls with sweet and spicy sauce and coke! I will miss them dancing "LOW" together, full of energy and glow! I will miss a lot of things that we often do. You might be wondering that the way I'll be missing them is like I am leaving again but don't get me wrong, it's just that the vacation really helped me to patch up the lost time with my kids when I was away, and now that I need to be busy again, I am guilty that surely there are a lot things that we cannot do that often again. I will miss you Rain and Shine! Thanks for making me feel that I am really a mom! Sorry for my mood swings anak! Mommy loves you both so much!
And since it's my last full day with the kids, after going to church this morning, my whole family went out. Do u know were we went?!? The picture says it all! It's my kids favorite restaurant! JOLLIBEE. It always give a different feeling to my kids everytime we dine in at Jollibee. My kids just love to visit this place. The most special kiddie parties that they had were always with JOLLIBEE. My kids just adore this BEE! Today we decided to have breakfast at the nearest Jollibee restaurant in our house (fyi, there are 6o0 over Jollibee restaurants in the Philippines alone. There are still some in United States and some parts of Asia and the globe! Well, just a trivia to my foreign friends! lolz!) Joey had "Breakfast Steak with garlic rice" Rain and Shine ate "Hotdog Meal" and for myself I had "Crispy Chicken Burger and fries" It was a fun bonding moment with the kids as they were all at glee while eating!
Thanks Jollibee for bringing smile to my kid's face! It's been a great BEE day with you!

GoOd TaLkS!

Just this morning, when I was munching my favorite chips ( Clover Chips! ) while surfing the net I was so surprised that my cell phone rang. The caller ID reads, +6584209681, then my heart started to beat so fast. The country code looks so familiar, it's a call from SINGAPORE! It was Lava a good friend who gave me a call and he was on his way to work - Pizza Hut. I miss talking to this guy, really I must admit. He was about to take a cab then when he called me. Then he suddenly uttered, "Uncle, JurongPoint please, the 7-11 there! Thank you!" Wow! I miss those lines! Those were the exact words that I use before whenever I need to go to work via cab! I can't help but tell Lava about it! He was just 5 minutes away from his workplace as he lived very near Jurong Point, Boon Lay Place.

As soon as he reached JP he passed the phone to Poy ( my boss, my friend! ) I did paused for a while because I am so surprise having been talking to him. I remember the last time I talked to him was before his birthday and that was October last year, from then on, I would seldom hear from him too because of his busy schedule at work, school and lately, reservist. It was a good feeling while talking to him! It gave me hope that I am not forgotten! hahaha! Then after asking each other how do we do, Poy told me that he will drop by HQ on Tuesday and ask if it's possible for me to go backSingapore and work with Pizza Hut again. Well I don't exactly know what will be the outcome of his inquiry but whatever it is I know it has it's reasons!

After talking with Poy I get to talk to Ina as well. As usual, girly talks! I miss talking to Ina so much. I also miss the days when I do morning shift with her and there's only 4 of us running the shift, Uncle Ong, Ina, myself and Auntie Tan! It was a struggle but of course we can! Right Ina?!?!? And tears just started to fell in my eyes. I don;t know why maybe i just really miss her! She's one of my very good friend in Singapore! She knows exactly how I started, from house searching, my family, my life in Singapore. I miss our chit-chats!

It was indeed a good feeling after talking to them. 3 very special people in the life that I had in Singapore, 3 different people that I adore and I miss, different folks, different strokes but one special feeling, for special people! I miss you guys and I know I will be seeing you soon!

LeT's gEt PhYsiCaL!

Its another therapy day for me. My fourth session already. Few sessions more and hopefully everything will be back to normal, walking will be fine,
NEW YEAR, NEW KNEE!
3 days to go and I will be back to work.
Talking about my therapy today, well I did a lot of exercises! Some are very painful for me, but I tried my best to finish all those, as they always say
NO PAIN, NO GAIN!
I did several exercises like leg press, treadmill, knee liftings, balancing and hudreds of stretching. My therapist Charles said that I am doing A-OK and he told me that I am one of his favorite patient. He told me that I seldom complain about pain and he told me that is the reason why I am recovering well!
BIG BRAVE MOMMA!
After seeing my therapist, I went to see my physician to have my final check up just to make sure that I am fit to work on Monday. There are some breathe checking, blood pressure and other routinary checks. And she told me that I am ready to kick off for work! Yahoo!
Then after being checked by my physician, I went to see my surgeon, Dr. Wee. He did check my knee surgery scar and he said that it looks ok. I just need to take extra good care once I started working. He wanted to suggest that I need to rest for 12 weeks more to have the bone completely healed but that would mean three months or staying home again. It will only be after 3 months that everything will be 100% ok, knee will be good as new! But of course I have a family to feed and I can't stay that long without any income at all. I need to help my husband. After all the big expenses that we had during my illness, I think it's about time for me to do something to help the family! Well, that's life is all about!
After what I went through I promise myself to live a life of wellness!
What happened to me is no joke at all. I witnessed how much everyone struggled, I saw them cry when I cried.
I don't want this to happen again and I swear I will not let them feel the pain again!

PaUsEd!

I was trying to scan all the pictures that I have in my notebook when this picture made me paused for a while! This picture was the last staff meeting that i had with Pizza Hut Jurong Point. I can't help but smile when I was looking at this photo and all of a sudden happy memories started popping in my mind! Well, time flies so fast that its been 6 months since I left Singapore. I miss all the people there! I really do! Working at PH-JP is truly challenging but its the relationship that we have that keeps us going everyday! As Ridwan always say,
"We don't work as a team, We work as a Family!
Then another happy thought came into my mind. Last Chinese New Year 2008, the second day was really busy. I was only working with all my non-chinese staff, when the very toxic and busy time came, I was humming with the staff ( Aqmar, Nelly )while serving our customers,
"Were all in this together, once we know that we are, we're all stars and we see that.
We're all in this together and it shows when we stand, hand in hand,
make our dreams come true!"
And during shift briefing I would crack a funny cheer to each other especially when there's no enough staff,
" It's ok, It's alright! Come on JP fight! fight! fight!"
( lolz! )
I remember during my last talk with them, I told everyone that I will not say good bye but rather "til we meet again!" I just hope and pray it will be soon!
I can't wait to see everyone again! I miss hanging out at McDonalds' with some of them while munching my favorite McWing Set!
Well, I just hope it's gonna be soon! If I will not be given the chance to work again with them, I just hope that at least I can see everyone and ask them how they are now?
I am so excited to hear different stories from you guys!
I miss you all!
Thanks for the good memories that until now makes me pause and smile!

6 DaYs To gO!

6 days to go and it's back to work for me. It's a mixed emotion for me because the tiring days are about to come, lesser bonding moments with my kids. On the other hand, it's time for me to get working and time to earn and save again! During the time that I was sick, there had been a lot of things that popped into my mind, for whatever it is i just don't feel like sharing it that soon, hopefully in the next blogs I will have the guts to share it to everybody. For now, I just want to start anew and work really hard. But before I start kicking again, I just want to thank the people who had been very patient taking care of me through this hard times....

my husband and my bestfriend, Joey, thank you for being so patient from the very start up to the end. from the time that i can't move my leg, assisting me in my needs when i am still inside the hospital, taught me how to walk again like a little toddler, treating me at mcdonalds' when i crave for my favorite fries and burger, accompanying me in my physical therapy sessions. without you, i don't know how will cope up! i am glad that this thing happened when you are around!

My love and thanks to my kids as well, for absorbing all my mood swings as we are always together at home. Special thanks to Rain, who always help me lift my leg if I need to sit down. Much love for my little boy Shine who always kisses me whenI am in so much pain during the recovery period and always asks me, "Mommy, bakit? Sakit?" ( means, "Why mommy? Is it painful?") I am lucky to have them both not just as my children but for being able to understand what I am going through at their early age.

Of course not to forget the rest of my family, my mom and dad and my sister and wowo. many people would say that they admire the strength that i have and my braveness for undergoing such treatment without second thoughts and for how fast i was able to recover, what i always tell them is that, I draw strength from my family, they are the reasons why I am strong and why Ineed to be tough!

For my friends, thanks for all your well wishes! I will all see you soon!
Reggie is back!

Life in the Woods

Living far away from my family taught me so many things in life. Human nature is, we would always say we know already what to do if we will be facing a new situation but the funny thing is that when this time came and when it is just in front of us we would utter “Oooops, what am I going to do now?” “Whom can I turn too?” “What advise can you give me?”
The problem is that when we are inside our comfort zone we act as if we are “life geniuses” only to find out when we took the first step to go out that we are as coward as anyone can imagine! “Coward snail!” as they call it.
Each one of is guilty of it in one way or another. I myself is a living example! I thought I can do it myself even in toughest time! I was brought up to be tough and excel in whatever things that I want to do. But life isn’t all about toughness! Not even about excellence at all times!
Being in Singapore without my dear husband with me was the biggest challenge I have to face. I told myself, this time I need to do things on my own, no husband to help me, no husband to comfort me in times of failures, no husband whom I know stands beside me and will surely listen to all my complaints in life. Everyday it will always cross my mind should I still stay here and finish my contract or just pack all my things and go back to Philippines.
The loneliness in Singapore is killing me softly everyday. Thinking that I left my two kids, sometimes I would ask myself is it really all worth it?
With work I have nothing to complain, everything is just a piece of cake! What else can make it even harder than working in Philippines #1 most admired company, Jollibee hahaha! But at the end of each very tiring day when I reach home, nothing to look forward to, no kids standing at the door waiting for their mom to come and asking "Do you have anything for me mom?" No husband to ask me "How's work mom?" After work I would just go to my bed and sleep and wait for the day to pass and hoping that time will run fast so that two years will be over.
The sound of silence is making me like a deaf.
Hours, days, months had passed. Everybody thought that I was able to move on and coped up already. What people don’t know is that behind the big smile that I wore each day hides an empty heart, longing for my family. Before it can be called a day for me, I need to shed gallons of tears again. And it is only the four corners of my room who get to witness it every night.
Singapore isn’t about bad memories for me. Don’t be misled with that, as I am just sharing to you how it was when I started my life there. Singapore brought me so much joy too that I had always been thankful for. I never felt that I am different when I came there. Singaporeans embraced me like I am one of them, I never felt that I am a “third class citizen” there. Everyday I get to feel the love that they have for me. But after a happy day of working and fantastic memories that would be written in my heart, the agony of longingness will come alive again! Haaizzz! When will this end? I don’t know too.
What is sure to me is that these few words helped me to learn how to be strong when I was away:
“Lord, help me to be out of this woods, help me to be out of this dark tunnel and escape the fear of being alone. Let me always remember Your promise that I should never be afraid for You will always be beside me and will carry me if I’ll be tired of walking. Let me see the richness of life that I’ve chosen. Help me to realize how lucky I am above the rest. Help me to be tougher each day though I am far from my loved ones. Teach me to appreciate the friends that You gave me and to continue to live each day to the fullest. Let me be thankful for I got eyes to see the beauty of Your creation, for there are blind people who can only embrace it, let me be thankful for I got ears to hear the birds singing for the deaf would love to sing with them if only they can hear, let me be thankful that I have a tongue, so I can speak the truth and utter Your promises! Let me be thankful for everything! I may not be Your worthy servant but You always work in my life!”
I am fortunate, I am blessed and I am loved!
